On October 2, 2012, at approximately 9:30 am Terrace RCMP received a call regarding a possible bomb threat at the North Western Community College located on McConnell Avenue in Terrace B.C.

RCMP along with the assistance of the Terrace Fire Department, BC Ambulance and the Community College Management evacuated Staff and students from all buildings in that vicinity.

The Prince George RCMP Police Dog Services are currently on scene and are searching the buildings for any potential dangers or devices.
There is an incident at the college.

"We've evacuated the school and are doing a thorough search to determine what the issue is", stated Terrace RCMP Inspector Dana Hart "The school will remain closed until it has been deemed safe for the students and staff to return."

Emergency Social Services have been deployed and are stationed at the Terrace Arena where they are providing meals for students who are unable to return to their housing complexes.

Police have secured a perimeter around the area of McConnell Drive between Floyd and Highway 113 and are asking that the public stay away for safety precautions.
