The majority of the news coverage of the thousands of BC residents gathered at the Legislature front lawn on Monday, October 22, 2012, did not do the Indians and Hereditary Chiefs justice. Hundreds marched from the BC Museum of Anthropology onto the front steps of the BC Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) gathering hole.
The thousands of residents gathered burst into spontaneous cheering, fist thrusting and crying with united voices of passion.
Attached below is a 25 minute, virtually raw, video presentation.
Many more videos of the speakers and events will be uploaded in the next few days.
The Tsimshian, Haisla, Gitxsan and Tahltan elders and Chiefs are currently making their way back to their territories with Gitxsan Unity Movement representatives.
Today, October 24, 2012, they stood with the residents of Nanaimo at the offices of Leonard Krog on Victoria Crescent.
