BC Emergency
The Tsunami Warning that was in place has been downgraded to an advisory for the following areas:

ZONE A: The North Coast and Haida Gwaii

ZONE B: The Central Coast including: Bella Coola, Bella Bella, Shearwater.

A Tsunami Advisory remains in place for:

ZONE C: The outer West Coast of Vancouver Island from Cape Scott to Port Renfrew

ZONE D: The Juan de Fuca Strait from Jordan River to Greater Victoria, including the Saanich Peninsula

No alerts have been issued for:

ZONE E: The Georgia Basin, including the Gulf Islands and low-lying areas from Greater Vancouver North to Campbell River

A Tsunami Advisory means that that a low-level tsunami is expected. Potentially strong currents could be dangerous for low-lying coastal areas in these zones. Please stay away from beaches and shorelines until further notice.

Stay tuned to local radio stations and listen for instructions from emergency officials.
