Terrace City Council passed the following resolutions at our October 2012 Council meetings. City Council meeting minutes are available on our website at www.terrace.ca.

That the City of Terrace seek public input on the request from BC Lottery Corporation to increase the number of slot machines at Chances - Terrace

That the City of Terrace provide a letter of support to Suwilaawks Community School for their application for an indoor playground to the Union of BC Municipalities and the BC School Trustee Association

That the City of Terrace issue a development permit to Terrace Totem Holdings Ltd to permit the construction of a new main front entry branding tower, façade enhancements, and site landscaping

That the City of Terrace issue a development permit to Kondolas Furniture to permit construction of a commercial retail furniture store at 2910 Kalum Street

That the City of Terrace issue a development permit to Triton Environmental Consultants Ltd. to permit the redevelopment of an existing commercial property at 4426, 4428, and 4430 Greig Avenue

That the City of Terrace enter into an agreement with 0185657 BC Ltd., under the provisions of the Downtown Revitalization Tax Exemption Bylaw, to provide a tax exemption on the value of improvements at 4633 Lakelse Avenue TD Bank Building

That the property taxes be split between the Visitor Information Centre and the Chamber of Commerce and the permissive tax exemption be applied to Kermodei Tourism Society’s 70% only

That Councillor Davies be appointed as the City of Terrace liaison to the Northern Health Healthy Communities Committee

That the idea of creating a free graffiti wall be referred to administration to investigate the experiences of other communities where graffiti walls have been established

That the City of Terrace send a letter to the BC Transportation Board opposing the service reductions proposed by Greyhound

That the City of Terrace send a letter to the Select Standing Committee of Finance regarding revenue sharing
