On November 8th, 2012, members from the North District Integrated Marihuana Enforcement Task Force (NDIME) and 100 Mile House Detachment executed a search warrant for Production of a Controlled Substance. The property was located approximately 60 kilometers southeast of 100 Mile House on Highway #24 at Bridge Lake, BC.
A marihuana grow operation was located within the outbuilding on the property.
"663 marihuana plants in various stages of growth were located and seized along with approximately 17 pounds of dried marihuana and growing equipment" Stated Cst. Lesley Smith North District Media Relations Officer "Also seized as offence-related property were a large diesel generator, an all terrain vehicle and a pick up truck".
One adult male was arrested at the scene and is facing charges of Production of a Controlled Substance and Possession of a Controlled Substance For the Purpose of Trafficking. He will be making his first court appearances on March 5th, 2013 in 100 Mile House.
This investigation is part of the Marihuana Grow Initiative, the RCMP’s national strategy to combat marihuana grow operations and the organized crime groups running them in our communities.
