After hearing about the story of Amanda Todd I realized how bad bullying has become. Itís happening over phones, in texts, over the Internet, on Facebook, and in school. No one deserves to be bullied. We are all unique, we all make mistakes, we all have insecurities, and we all have different opinions. This doesnít give anyone the right to judge us.
I was a victim of bullying. I never let this bother me because I knew I was better than that. I always speak up for people I see being bullied. We all get angry at times, go through stress, and have bad days. We donít need to take our anger out on other people who have nothing to do with our problems and, sadly, I believe thatís why some people bully other people. Why canít there just be peace. As we are reaching the end of bullying awareness week I see so many wonderful things happening, like that song on family channel called Stand Up Make Some Noise. This song has such a true and wonderful message.
We all should be proud of who we are, our accomplishments, our hopes, and our dreams. I would never want to be anyone else but me. We are proud, beautiful strong, brave, and wonderful people. We should not let bullies change our opinion about ourselves just because someone thinks differently. Letís stand up to bullies and stop them right now.
If you are being bullied or someone you know is, tell someone and donít keep it inside. It will only get worse. I know itís hard and it may not work right away but, if you keep on doing that, they will back down someday and GROW UP.
What are you going to do tomorrow? I am going to change our world and make people smile like I try to do every day. Together we can change our world.
Sincerely; Kimberley Wilson

You are so right. In my opinion bullies are insecure people with feelings of inadequacies and they attempt to deflect these facts by putting others down. However I think the true tradgey are the countless individuals who know better but choose to stand by silently and allow bullies to continue on this path of distruction.

You are turning into such an amazing young advocate for people Kimberley. you have a heart of gold and it's great to see someone your age stand up for what is right and stand against what is wrong. You of all people know what it's like to be bullied because of differences, I'm glad you overcame that and turned out the way you did. Stronger, and more empathetic For your neighbors than a lot of people are. Congratulations on another well written article Kimberley. I think I can speak for a lot of Terracites when I say we're thankful we have you shining bright. Love you Kiddo, and very very proud of you!
