The University of Northern British Columbia has announced the winter 2013 line-up for its Northwest Speaker Series. These noon-hour presentations, typically held every other Wednesday starting on January 30th, are open to the public and are held at the UNBC Terrace Campus at 4837 Keith Avenue.
“We are glad to provide a forum for the presentation and discussion of topical issues,“ says Dr. Phil Burton, the recently appointed Chair for UNBC’s Northwest Region. This winter’s line-up features presentations by UNBC faculty and graduating students in some of its core programs, namely Nursing and Social Work. There will also be presentations on topics the university hopes to develop more fully in its programming, such as aquatic ecology and First Nations history and language revitalization.
