Terrace RCMP
The Terrace RCMP have responded to approximately 32 calls for service from February 4, 8 AM till February 5, 8 AM. During the same time period there were 4 people lodged in Terrace Cells, all for public intoxication.

Downtown Terrace

IPhone 4 was left in a cab on February 2.

man passed out on the sidewalk on Emerson St near Lakelse Ave. BC Ambulance assisted. The 43 yr old man was arrested for public intoxication.

false business alarm on Lakelse Ave

a man asked staff at a business on Lakelse Ave to call the police because he was drunk and needed a ride home. Police arrested the man for public intoxication.

a man refusing to pay for his meal at Pizza Hut. Police arrested the 33 yr old man for meal fraud. The man claimed he could pay the bill if he went to the bank. Police drove the man to the bank, where he picked up money, and then reattended to Pizza Hut. The man only wanted to pay for half the meal. Police once again arrested the man for meal fraud. The man thought it through and decided to pay the bill in full rather then go to jail.

intoxicated man refusing to leave the Lucky Garden on Lakelse Ave. Police arrested the 52 yr old man for public intoxication. He resisted arrest and would not follow direction. Police deployed OC Spray on the man. Additional members attended and assisted with the arrest.

shoplifter at Safeway. The man returned the items he stole then ran from the store employees.

suspicious behavior. A man asked a woman and her grandmother about a laundry mat.

a man failed to pay for his taxi fare and then called the cab company and was belligerent. Police spoke with the 22 yr old man.

false business alarm on Kalum St

five people drinking in an alley behind Davis Ave. Police spoke with a 47 yr old man.

a man stumbling along Park and Emerson St. Checks were done of area.

theft of money and medications from a roommate.

a woman lost her bank card, but knew who took it. The person who took it used the card to deposit empty envelopes into the account in an attempt to take out money. Police warned the woman to not give out her PIN to people.

a woman heard third hand that a man was going to attack anybody by a certain last name. This woman took offence to this.

report of child abuse. Under investigation with the assistance of Ministry of Children and Families.

a white Dodge Dakota was vandalized on the night of February 2 while it was parked on Agar St.

assist New Hazelton RCMP with a warrant

theft of a purse containing cash, various cards, ID, cell phone, and keys from the Northern Health building on Kalum St.

a man and woman stole alcohol and a cell phone from a man when they were all drinking together. Further details were not provided.

suicidal 13 yr old girl. Police spoke with the girl. Unsubstantiated.

man passed out in a parking lot on Kalum St. Police arrested a 33 yr old man for public intoxication.

a woman reported that her daughter may have been assaulted. Police checked on the daughter who was fine. Police called the woman to advise that her daughter was fine and suspect that intoxication was a factor behind the phone call.

suicidal 17 yr old boy. He was tracked via IP address to another town. Police in that town apprehended him under the Mental Health Act.

a vacant home was vandalized.

a man attended to the detachment requesting help for a mental health condition. Police transported the 38 yr old man to Mills Memorial Hospital.

a woman wanted police to remove a man from a residence. Police spoke with the intoxicated woman. The man had called her names and she was mad. Police spoke with the intoxicated man who was attempting to sleep. Police gave advice on the matter.

assist BC Ambulance with a patient on Heppel Ave.

a woman reported she was assaulted. This had already been reported and the person was referred to the investigating member.

suicidal man at Park Ave Medical Building. BC Ambulance transported the man to Mills Memorial Hospital for assessment.

landlord/tenant dispute. Police spoke with both people and gave advice on the matter.


assist New Aiyansh RCMP with a theft investigation.


intoxicated familial dispute. Everyone agreed to stay in their own rooms for the night.
