Terrace RCMP
The Terrace RCMP have responded to approximately 20 calls for service from February 12, 8 AM till February 13, 8 AM. During the same time period there were two people were lodged in Terrace Cells, both for public intoxication.

Downtown Terrace

•graffiti on the back wall of the Salvation Army on Kalum St. Police observed that graffiti seems to exist on all of the walls in this alleyway.

•group of youth loitering outside of McDonald’s. Police spoke with a 16 yr old boy who attempted to flee upon police arrival. The group dispersed.

•intoxicated man on Lakelse Ave by the Royal Bank. A 32 yr old man was arrested for public intoxication.

•shoplifter at Safeway. Police attended an address in town that may have been associated to a licence plate that was obtained. Police discussed the matter with the store employees.
•ongoing problem with a shoplifter at Safeway described as 5 ft 10 inches, 210 lbs, short hair, wears jeans and a black leather jacket with a blue hoodie under it, and a dark colored hat with a yellow logo on the front.

Elsewhere Terrace

•drug activity reported

•a red Nissan with two men and one woman inside almost hit a 42 yr old woman in a crosswalk on Kalum St.

•a man wandering the halls of Mills Memorial Hospital bothering people for money. Police escorted a 21 yr old man out of the hospital and to his residence.

•a man and woman wanted into a residence on Davis Ave. They were denied entry. They broke a window. Police involvement was not wanted.

•a group of youth attempted to start a tree on fire on Feeney Ave. Checks were done of area.

•a man received a voice mail from a woman which caused him to have concern for her safety. Police attended to numerous locations and eventually located the woman who was fine. Advice was given on the matter.

•a 13 yr old girl breaching a court ordered curfew. Police located the girl and turned her over to the care of Ministry of Children and Families. Another girl was with her and she was also turned over to the care of the Ministry as well.

•a 1984 Dodge pickup truck was pulled over for a driving infraction. The 26 yr old driver was given an Immediate Roadside Suspension and the vehicle he was driving was towed. Further checks were conducted and the vehicle was returned to the owner and the Driving Suspension was cancelled.

•intoxicated man on Kalum St. Police arrested a 39 yr old man for public intoxication and breach of his probation condition of not to consume alcohol. Charges are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.

•false business alarm on Keith Ave

•a woman received a laararge box in the mail that she did not order

•Mills Memorial Hospital requested police assistance with an agitated patient.


•a red Ford F-150 was pulled over on River Dr. The vehicle had numerous defects making it not road worthy. The truck was towed and the licence plates removed from the vehicle to be returned to the Motor Vehicle Branch.

•a woman is spreading rumors about another woman. Police gave advice on the matter.


•a rural vacant property was break and entered and vandalized

•bones were found by a hiker on a power line near the Terrace Paving Sign. Police determined that they were non human.
