COMMENTARY · 3rd March 2013

Billions of dollars of investment are at stake and the bumbling female bully buffoon, Christy Clark, will not be allowed to bring it all down. Today during an emergency 4 pm caucus meeting she will be evicted from her seat as the leader of the Liberal Party.

Why Christy Clark Can`t Survive The Straight Goods

Will April Fools Be the Day For Fools In BCHowBadTheRecord

Although there should be a full high level crime investigation into the entire Liberal criminal activity, even prior to Gordon Campbell’s team ousting Gordon Wilson, it will not happen. In fact an investigation should go all the way back to 1988 when George Peden penned a 7 page letter to Grace McCarthy on how the Mob had infiltrated the BC Government. (Please do not take the word Mob as literally an Italian Crime Family - it is simply a term for criminal conspirators.) Read the Hansard Record of June 19, 1991, describing this below

Organized Crime has been the mainstay of BC politics since Bill Vander Zalm was ejected in an identical meeting to the one taking place today for Christy Clark. Political leaders are expendable; the criminal corporate control of the situation is not. Even Liberal insiders are openly calling them crooks.

Former BC Socred Minister (Flying) Phil Gaglardi told me personally while I was visiting at his office in the VSE tower on Granville, how Vander Zalm had to be replaced.

The entire premise was the desire to bring extensive gambling to BC. The problem, according to Gaglardi and his compatriots Anthony and Roberto Papalia, was the controversial nature of Zalm. Every time he opened his mouth or got in front of a camera he provoked popular distrust. This would make the introduction of Casino’s a much more difficult issue. This was at the forefront of the minds of those in the ultimate positions of power in BC and George Peden knew them all. In fact Peden worked for them, it is how I met him. He chased me down working as their personal private investigator after I shut down a hydro-electric plant I installed, which they did not pay for. Peden, during a private meeting, personally warning me about these folks.

It has been a full 25 years since I met with Phil Gaglardi, the Papalia’s and George Peden (who died shortly after his letter was exposed in the media) and looking back I admire the skill, the mastery of the criminals. Today the Province is lousy with Casino’s and has been stripped of its entire profitable infrastructure, (sold to private interests). Even the management of government assets not able to be outright sold has been contracted out.

Here is a great compilation on the sordid history, should one need reminding

Political minds are scrambling to figure out the next move. Will a new leader be selected today to replace Clark and we quickly swing into election mode? Will the Liberals attempt to change the fixed election date to October to buy time to hold a proper leadership convention? Will, though unlikely, but has already partially happened, the entire list of Liberal candidates resign and join the Conservative Party under John Cummins?

One thing is certain, Christy Clark is so immersed in criminal activities, from the BC Rail sale and bribery scandal to this most recent taxpayer funded scheme to use public policy to buy votes from minority ethnic groups, she will not be allowed to lead this group into the upcoming election. If she does in some manner escape, a near impossibility, the results will be similar to Kim Campbell’s helm during the demise of the Progressive Conservative Party of Canada and Rita Johnston at the helm of the Socred Party of BC during its final death throws. There are so many recent distasteful expose’s it is difficult to imagine anything less regardless of who takes the leadership position.

The backrooms are buzzing today, just like when Gaglardi left me in his office in 1988 after sharing how they needed to do something about the Zalm. It took them a bit longer than I suspect they figured, but in the end it was worth the wait. They found their replacement with Gordon Campbell. He was the Mayor of Vancouver at the time and had already proven to be ruthless in controlling his administration, over-ruling the planning department in favour of developers.

On April 2, 1991 the Zalm was finally punted during the emergency Caucus meeting and Rita narrowly beat out Russ Fraser who had personally handled the George Peden affair in the legislature during the same time period. On June 19th 1991 he rose in the Provincial Legislature to address that Criminal controversy. Just like today with the ousting of various Attorney Generals and finally this past year the ousting of the Auditor General who demanded the Provincial Government explain, or at least come clean on criminal activities, in 1991 Fraser fired his Executive Assistant for releasing Peden’s letter regarding the criminal infiltration of the BC Government. The criminals demand silence and compliance and everyone in the know, knows.

Today will be a remarkable day in BC history. If I know anything about BC politics and female bullies, this woman will not go quietly. Cornered she will likely go into full rage. Not one if these men who allowed her to assume this position will be prepared for what she might do next. Will she be forcefully removed? If so, she might reveal everything in a mad tirade. In that case an accident would be the best move to save the criminals. Clark will do any and everything to save face. Her smile depends on it as does her psychopathic personality. Watch for the switch to go off. Alex Tsakumis tells it well here - not an idiot, Alex, a phsycopath.

In any case the criminals will have a back up plan. There is far too much at stake for them not to. The meeting today will have far reaching implications. In the short to medium term it doesn’t much matter for the real criminals. They now own or control most of the rivers, the rail infrastructure, the electrical power system, the Ferries, the roads and bridges, the government buildings and the medical services. As the cash strapped British Columbians run to every pull tab, gaming machine and lottery terminal, run by the criminally backed BC Government, the same backroom boys are looking into the future. If they can’t manipulate this process and jury rig the election it doesn’t really matter. They have so much control of so much of the infrastructure, if the NDP do not do as they wish they can make things very uncomfortable.

Indeed the next election after this fiasco is just 4 years away and one can be certain the criminals know this better than most.

For over twenty years I have searched for a copy of this seven page letter. I called George Pedens brother after he died and called Grace McCarthy personally in 1994. No one is prepared it seems to reveal the depth of the criminality in BC. It would be revealing today, to reflect back on the names, just to see how far down the filth goes.

From the Hanard, June 19, 1991
DISMISSAL OF ATTORNEY-GENERALS EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT

HON. MR. FRASER: Yesterday in the House the hon. member for Esquimalt–Port Renfrew raised the matter of the dismissal of my executive assistant. I responded that the matter was a personnel issue, and that is still my belief. Nonetheless, in response to questions and reports in the media, I would like to provide the House with the following information. In 1988 a lengthy letter by private investigator George Peden, which contained numerous allegations against a number of individuals, was received by Grace McCarthy, then the Minister of Economic Development. The member from Little Mountain in turn referred this document to the then Attorney-General Brian Smith. Ministry of Attorney-General officials confirmed at this time that the matter was under police consideration.

By September 1988, members of the RCMP and the Vancouver police department determined that the allegations were groundless. This conclusion was confirmed today by Assistant Commissioner Palmer of the RCMP. In late 1990 the same letter — or a letter containing similar allegations — was brought to my attention by my executive assistant, Bob Walsh. In reviewing the document, I decided that the allegations appeared to be without substance. Following my discussion with Mr. Walsh, he on his own initiative turned the document over to Peter Engstad, the director of the Coordinated Law Enforcement Unit. Mr. Engstad referred the document to the RCMP, who advised Mr. Engstad that they had already reviewed these allegations. The document delivered by Mr. Walsh did not disclose any new allegations, and in the opinion of the police the allegations were without substance. This fact was also confirmed with Assistant Commissioner Palmer today.

On May 21, Deputy Attorney-General Bob Edwards was confidentially advised that this document was inappropriately disclosed by Mr. Walsh to a person outside the ministry or any police agency. Mr. Edwards then conducted an investigation concerning this allegation of inappropriate disclosure, and last Thursday advised me of this matter. This was the first time I became aware of this inappropriate disclosure.

The deputy and I agreed that the proper course of conduct was for Mr. Edwards to speak to Mr. Walsh directly, which he did immediately. During this meeting Mr. Walsh confirmed that he had made the alleged disclosure. Following discussions with my deputy, I came to the conclusion that Mr. Walsh's conduct was unacceptable and required his dismissal. I advised Mr. Walsh of my decision on Friday, June 14, 1991.

Mr. Walsh requested an extensive severance payment of some three months, or until he had time to find a job. This request was refused, and he was advised that he would get exactly what was coming to him, not a penny more and not a penny less. Mr. Walsh was not satisfied and indicated he would make the matter public in some fashion. I have no information, other than just stated, as to any other persons who may have access to Mr. Peden's letter.

Mr. Walsh did not resign. He was dismissed for inappropriately releasing confidential information to a person outside the ministry or any police agency. This disclosure did not compromise an ongoing police investigation or a criminal prosecution. The circumstances of this disclosure demonstrate a lack of judgment concerning material he had obtained in his capacity as my executive assistant, and any future disclosures of this nature would produce a similar result. I am not aware of any other inappropriate disclosures of confidential information by Mr. Walsh — certainly not anything that would jeopardize an ongoing police investigation or criminal prosecution.

The dismissal of Mr. Walsh is in no way connected to the alleged disclosure of information from the Ministry of Attorney-General concerning the legal opinions dealing with the departure of Mr. Couvelier as Minister of Finance in April.

The 1988 letter by George Peden appears to have been made available to members of the media. As the allegations contained in it were determined by the police to be without substance, in my view it is not appropriate for me to discuss the details in a public forum. I refer members to the Owen report, which clearly addressed the issue of public disclosure of police investigations. As the allegations were investigated by the police in 1988 and as I have taken appropriate steps to deal with the problem in my office, a further inquiry is not required.

Thanks

Merv,
Today you wrote: " They have so much control of so much of the infrastructure, if the NDP do not do as they wish they can make things very uncomfortable."
Last month you said " Credit rating agencies arbitrarily determine a rating...If the rate is dropped from triple A the interest rate goes up. If the interest rate goes up the cost of providing services also goes up."
Wait a couple of months and we will see this acted out in real-time; punishment for voting 'wrong' will be swift.
A miracle ?
