Terrace RCMP
The Terrace RCMP have responded to approximately 49 calls for service from March 6, 8 AM till March 8, 8 AM. During the same time period there were 10 people lodged in Terrace Cells. Six of these people were lodged for public intoxication.

Here are some of the calls responded to:

Breach of a no contact condition. A woman forced her way into a residence that she is on conditions to not be at and stole an Xbox. Police located the 29 yr old woman a short distance away and arrested her for breach of undertaking. She was still in possession of the Xbox and it was returned to the man.

A green 1997 Ford Ranger hit the ditch and rolled at Crescent St and Old Lakelse Lake Dr. The 46 yr old driver and 45 yr old passenger were transported to Mills Memorial Hospital by BC Ambulance for treatment of non life threatening injuries.

A naked passed out man sitting on a toilet of the public washroom at the Terrace Public Library. Police arrested the 21 yr old man for public intoxication.

A woman was punched and strangled by a man inside of his residence. Police transported the woman to Mills Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries. The man was on conditions of no contact with this woman from a domestic dispute in February. Police arrested the 41 yr old man for breach and assault. He is held for court.

The 18 yr old driver of a blue 2002 Chrysler Neon was issued a driving suspension for being impaired by a drug at the parking lot of the Terrace Arena.

Police conducted traffic control on Kalum Lake Rd till City West was able to repair a downed telephone line. It seems a logging truck may have clipped the line causing it to fall down.

A grey 2001 Mazda Protege was pulled over for a number of vehicle infractions on Kalum St and Lakelse Ave. The 20 yr driver was prohibited from driving. Charges of driving while prohibited are being forwarded to Crown Counsel. The vehicle was towed.
