Celebrate French Canada at Heritage Park Museum
Join Heritage Park Museum and AFFNO (Association des Francophones et Francophiles du Nord-Ouest) in St. Jean Baptiste Celebrations! Come purchase poutine from French Canadian vendors, have fun in the bouncy castle, write on the community chalkboard, get your face painted, and listen to music by Skeena Skiffle. There will be balloon animals, sack races, and other children’s activities. Try your luck at the timed poutine eating contest at 2:30 p.m. and dress up in a historical costume. The best-dressed celebrant will win a prize! Thank you to Canadian Heritage, Thornhill Daily Needs, McDonalds, Aqua Clear, Tim Hortons, Gemma’s, Safeway, Save-On-Foods, Sight and Sound, Terrace Little Theatre, Kidz Quest, Canadian Parents for French, and MNQ (Accent Bleu) for sponsoring this event.
Celebrate our community’s diverse heritage from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Heritage Park Museum (on the bench across from Terraceview Lodge).

"Saint Jean Baptiste Day, held annually on June 24, is the feast day of St John the Baptist, a Jewish preacher who baptized Jesus in the River Jordan. It is a day of celebration in Quebec and other areas of French Canada. Saint Jean Baptiste Day is also known as "la Saint-Jean", "St John the Baptist Day", "Fête nationale du Québec" and "Quebec's National Holiday". "
