Heritage Park Museum
Join the hordes at Heritage Park Museum on Monday for the largest celebration of Canada Day in Terrace! Northwest Therapeutic Equestrian Association is offering by-donation horse rides. Skeena Skiffle, Sunset Riders, and Steve Little will headline our musical stage. Enjoy a performance by the Xbisunnt Tsimshian dancers and eat multicultural food, including Café Zesta and Nisga’a Tacos. To celebrate our community’s diverse heritage, there will be historic demonstrations ranging from blacksmithing to horse logging. In addition, each of the museum buildings will be open to display art exhibitions as part of the Summer Arts Festival. JJ will be doing chainsaw carving, and there will be a community chalkboard for people to muse about what Terrace is and means.
Our larger-than-ever-before silent auction features helicopter rides, Hawkair flights, all sorts of gift certificates, and original art. Check out the items and place early bids on our silent auction photo album at facebook.com/heritageparkmuseum. Admission is free or by donation. The event is open to everyone and will take place rain or shine from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Monday, July 1st.
