COMMENTARY · 20th July 2013
MWPR
Once again the mainstream media is finally catching up to Kevin Annett. For decades Annett has been uncovering and exposing the crimes of the Catholic and Anglican Churches along with the crimes of the Canadian and British governments.

Many agent provocateurs have been sent out to discredit him, and others who feel the need to be the official ‘Indian Story’ tellers, act offended that a white guy reveals their truth. Undaunted after repeated attacks, Annett soldiers on.

This past week revelations of secret experiments on starving and malnourished Indigenous Canadians was revealed. Only those living with blinders on in deluded cognitive dissonance were shocked or surprised. Those with any semblance of free thought and intelligence know full well the genocidal past of the Governments of BC and Canada.

It does not stop there either. Annetts work, all the information he has already compiled, the work used to criminally charge and to have found guilty; the chief representative of the Canadian Government, Prime Minister Stephen Harper, the chief representative of the Catholic Church, the Pope and the chief representative of the Crown of England, the Queen, will continue to be exposed and supported by documents those of good conscience will bring forward.

Not much more needs to be revealed as all of the documents, including the official death counts at the res schools at 50% have already been revealed by Annett.

The crime behind this is when the Canadian Governments Chief medical officer, Dr. Bryce, discovered this and brought the shocking stats to the government’s attention back in 1909, they disbanded his position and claim the work he did was no longer required.

It was, straight up, a clear indication the government of Canada supported the death camps they called residential schools.

From Annetts Book, ‘Hidden No Longer’

In his first official report, issued to the government in the fall of 1909, Dr. Bryce stated, “I believe the conditions are being deliberately created in our Indian boarding schools to spread infectious diseases. The death rate often exceeds fifty percent. This is a national crime.” (November 12, 1909)

To support his claim, Bryce cited evidence that in every school he had inspected, staff were regularly and deliberately housing healthy children with those sick and dying of tuberculosis, and then denying treatment and care to all of them. Bryce also claimed that school staff and their church employers regularly concealed or distorted the enormous death rate and the cause of death of so many children. (See The Story of A National Crime – Being a Record of the Health Conditions of the Indians of Canada from 1904 to 1921 by P.H. Bryce, Ottawa, 1922)

This practice was present in schools run by every church denomination, and according to the government’s own records, it persisted for over fifty years. The average fifty percent death rate was documented statistically by Dr. Bryce in his second, 1909 report. (See Fig. 1)

The second piece of evidence of direct intentionality is the federal Order in Council dated March 11, 1919, which abolished medical inspection in the Indian residential schools, despite the enormous death rate and unhealthy conditions found within them. (Fig. 2)

The third piece of evidence of direct intentionality to commit genocide is the federal law of 1920 that compelled every Indian child in Canada to be incarcerated in residential schools, despite the huge mortality rate in them and the deliberate criminal actions of their staff. (Fig. 3)

And it goes on and on and gets much worse.

Our Canadian Government is continuing with the genocide in Northwest BC by deliberately inflicting severe financial and health hardships on all the people of First Nations ancestry such that the suicide rate is greater than anywhere else. The only benefits are provided to those who are willing to trade their ancestry, land and water resources for money and some semblance of normal social comforts. Indigenous leaders can be found living in luxury when they engage in treaty talks or accept money from corporations to allow unfettered access to their sovereign national territories. This while over 90% of their own relations suffer in abject poverty and destitution.

The recent revelations of the Canadian Government using children and adult indigenous as guinea pigs will soon have good company. The supposed TB “Hospital” in Prince Rupert, Miller Bay, run by Dr. Galbraith has long been spoken of as another experimental hospital where psycho active drugs were administered on behalf of government agencies from Canada and the USA. Taken over from the military in 1946 it continued experimentations throughout the 40’s 50’s and into the 60’s. Many Indigenous elders tell of horrors they lived through. Others met their life partners while incarcerated and carried on with healthy lives. The earlier days with the newly imported German doctors, following the Second World War, were the worst.

Many Canadians still believe the indigenous peoples have been getting too many “hand outs”, have been afforded just as much opportunity as every other Canadian. Those who think this way are supportive of the continued genocide. They should all be ashamed.

It is only through the good works of those who continually, against all odds and all attacks, expose the dark side of Canadian reality, past and present, that the truth will become apparent.

Recently one native leader accused me of daring to speak for the Indigenous peoples as I am white. But they seemed to forget about James Tait, who was also white and from Scottish ancestry like I, wrote the very first declarations of sovereignty recently heralded and celebrated at a 100 year anniversary party in Telegraph Creek. Only recently have some Indigenous learned to be racists too, just like the intolerant settlers taught.

These people also accuse Kevin Annett of having no right to speak due to his white heritage.

We all have a right to speak truth and expose the wrongs wherever we see it, regardless of our race, nationality or religion. No one has the right to suppress truth, all have the right to express it.

And that is what is wrong with the current ‘Truth and Reconciliation” process being conducted in Canada regarding the Residential Schools and the wrongs of the past, many ‘truths are being forbidden and the government of Canada and the Catholic Churches are withholding and even destroying the documents required to expose the truth. The truth is the residential schools were simply an attempted mop-up operation from the failed genocide Dr. Helmcken and others expected to be complete, when they stated “the northern Indians will only be remembered in story”. The horrors began in 1862 just before the Bride Ships arrived from England. The British Colony at Victoria poisoned and deported/evicted all the Indians from Victoria in a dual purpose effort. 'Clean-up the settlement for the pretty girls soon to be wives for the men falling for the heathen Indian girls and kill off all the Tsimshain, Nisga'a, Haisla, Tahltan, Haida, Gitxsan, Wet'suwet'en and Tlingit to get free access to all the resources, Gold being just the first.

Kevin Annnett deserves and award for his painstakingly tireless efforts.

Read more here.

And a short chronology here with links to a full compilation of the crime.

One problem we have with critics is how they might find an error and then attempt to expose the entire work as erroneous. In the case of ‘Hidden No Longer’ we have people critiquing the use of the photograph for the cover of his book. It is of a child covered in small pox sores. The picture is unlikely of an Indian child from BC and has been claimed to be from Africa. So people use this simple illustration of what small pox looks like to discredit the entire research document. Yes this is how foolhardy people can be. I didn’t cross a tee, or made a minor factual error, so all my years of effort must be all wrong?

The genocide was real, reported in the news and was completely premeditated to get access to the gold in BC without interference from the Indians who owned the land according to the Crown of England at the time. The Governor of BC broke international law when he declared Britain owned all of the land referred to as Oregon Country, the entire lands of BC north of the 49th parallel and west of the Omineca mountain range. The Royal Proclamation of 1763 was issued specifically to prevent such atrocities as was committed by Dr. Helmcken, the BC colonial government and Gold seekers. And the British Colonial Government House leader of the Day, Dr. Helmcken ordered, planned and completed the devastation of the entire Northwest Indian tribes.

The news papers of the day declared the abhorrence at his plan asking "What will they say in England?' when it is known [...] The authorities have commenced the work of extermination - [...] - Never was there a more execrable Indian policy than ours" The Daily British Colonist, June 1862.

A full one hundred and fifty years have passed. The settlers still refuse to accept what the reporters knew and reported on back then and continue to report on today.

The only question now may reasonably be is, ‘What will they say at the Pearly gates when St Peter and Jesus stand in judgement? Because as it appears after a century and a half humanity still cannot come to terms with their own actions and today continue to benefit from raiding the lands of the Northwest Indian peoples. Now it may only be up to God himself to serve judgment against those who continue to inflict harm on the Native Land.

The most recent is the attempt to destroy the lands nourished by the Stikine, Skeena and Nass River systems. Read, Fortune Minerals, Arctos Project, Imperial Metals, Red Chris Mine, Atrum Coal, Pretium Resources, Seabridge Gold, etc etc.

As one Native Chief back east stated after the international traders came back for a final round,

“First they came for the furs and took everything until there were no fur bearing animals left. Then the came for the fish and took everything until there was nothing left in the rivers and lakes. Then they came for the trees and took everything until there was nothing left but rocks. And by george, then they came back for the rocks.”

If you are not ashamed, I will be ashamed for you.
And I say his work has been instrumental in our awareness

Without Kevin Annett and his tireless efforts to expose what he observed and lived, we would all be still blind and ignorant to the facts.

He has suffered greatly for his efforts and to be sure he has made mistakes, but never would I question his actual genuine passion for exposing the genocidal past of our society.

I would not know what I know without him and there would never have been an apology from the Canadian Government without him.

So in this case the means does justify the ends.

He does deserve awards and those who feel slighted should learn to look at the bigger picture.

Most Canadians still believe the Indians should just get over it.

I thank God for Kevin almost every day. Not because I believe everything or think he is the be all and end all, just for the fact that he will never give up.

I admire that in anyone. But Kevin Annett has taken on the biggest targets. Without reservation. Who else would do such a thing?

His is a role one cannot just retire from or say, "Jeeze, I think I'll find a new job".

He has honour greater than most.

If he avoids persecution, one might ask, does the avoidance mean he is wrong, or just his spirit has no time for idiots?
And there is also this...

It also gives part 2 of the documentary. Annett does the residential school survivors a great disservice. His exploitation of other people's misery is purely self serving as he has a personal axe to axe to grind. He never defends himself in a public forum when others who don't support his exaggerated claims are given the same stage.

In my time I have had conversations with survivors who had traumatic and horrific experiences as well as some who stated that their experience led to their being successful. I do not doubt that very bad things occurred but a non First Nations person operating on his own with questionable tactics does the greater cause of truth and reconciliation any good at all. He only makes a mockery of the injustice perpetrated on First Nations Peoples and turns others people off.

Google his name and there are hundreds of links that debunk many of his claims. He does not deal in straight facts nor validates his claims with sound science.

I don't defend any church. There is no need or point to it. The record is clear on this. I just don't think the man has any credibility and that is why you get few people to respond to anything form the motely crew that form the ITCCS. My final comment on this..
Greg Renouf AKA Genuine Witty, is a Gov't agent provocateur
Comment by MWPR on 21st July 2013
Greg Renouf is despised by almost all activist groups. He is a classic Agent of dissention, and agent provocateur.

Nothing he says or writes should be taken at face value. He combines snippets of truth with absolute falsehoods, then agitates to provoke good thinking people to fight amongst each other.

Even Sun Media now loves him... this is likely due to his benefit to the Harper dictatorship and intolerant agenda.

This site has numerous detailed writings on his insidious tactics
http://www.urbanideology.com/2013/02/09/the-faces-of-renoufs-research-crew/

And this is a rant by a real man angry at him.

The Gov't and church groups really do not like what Annett exposes. I wonder why.
And then there is this...

Filthy laundry

Starvation experiments on adults and little children carried out by William Lyon Mackenzie king with the help of Paul Martin sr his health minister At the time . All while Paul Martin jr slept in his nice warm bed on a full belly . Today he calls it monstrous . It is long over due that Canadians stop being so polite . This creep we have is also doing an experiment on native people . The housing experiment in the north. How bad can native housing in the north get before they move away , die from conditions associated with bad housing or commit suicide ? I'm sure nutrition is still on the menu only now its called pricing and market .
