Let's give them a warm welcome Prince Rupert!!

They've come a long way to raise awareness for an important issue - they've walked across the country!

That's a HUGE accomplishment!

On June 21, 2013 Tears4Justice began their national walk from Membertou, Sydney, Nova Scotia to Prince Rupert, British Columbia. Their main objective is to raise awareness on the plight of the far too many missing and murdered women and children in Canada. Their ultimate goal is to seek justice, closure, equality and accountability for all those family members who came forward with their stories of lost loved ones and to address the overall issues of Violence against Women and Children.

This walk is inspired by family members throughout the country who have expressed their interest in going to the Highway of Tears and meeting the families of the Missing and Murdered loved ones along the Highway of Tears. Their objective is to not only raise awareness, but to stand in unity with all family members in their demands for justice and a National Public Inquiry or National Missing and Murdered Women and Children Symposium to discuss and devise a National Action Plan to eliminate all forms of Violence towards Women and Children.

We are the last stop on their journey, and a very important one....the last stop on the Highway of Tears.

We are planning for their arrival and hope to see you there.

They will arrive on September 20th- we plan to escort them into town with drummers and singers - everyone welcome! On September 21st, we will host a community potluck feast at the Nisga'a Hall and hold a candle light vigil in memoriam of our missing and murdered woman and children.

Again, everyone one is welcome.

Plans are still unfolding. If you would like to offer assistance, provide a financial donation, a gift for auction, walk with us in their welcome, or attend the potluck feast, please refer to current details at:
