UPDATE: Smithers cannot make it - Schedule change.

The Terrace Midget Rep hockey team will host the zone playoffs for the first time ever. The team earned the right after winning league play and having an excellent record of 31-6-2 over the season. The team will be vying for a second consecutive trip to the Provincials in Wanda Fuca, just outside of Victoria in March.

Winning the zones will not be easy as Prince Rupert, Smithers and Kitimat have competitive teams. Coach Kevin Legros said that the boys have to bring their "A" game to the zones because it doesn't matter what your record is coming in, it matters who wins the playoffs and gets to go to Provincials.

The team had an excellent year with a real rounded effort by all players. Discipline was one of the keys as the team rarely took more penalties than the opposition. The Coaches said that it is a pleasure to be involved with this group of players.

Third year players that will not be back in Terrace Minor Hockey next year include;
Jeremy Vandenbroek, Corbin Legros, Aaron Bergey, Reid Turner, Devynn Ames, Spencer Krupop, William Fisher, Rajan Sangha, Brendan Merritt and Corey Hubbard.

The UPDATED tournament schedule is as follows;

SATURDAY

8am - 10:15am - Terrace (A) VS Kitimat (B)

2:15pm - 4:30pm - Kitimat (B) VS Prince Rupert (C)

8:30pm - 10:45pm - Terrace (A) VS Prince Rupert (C)

SUNDAY:

12:30pm - 2:45pm - FINAL GAME

Come out and cheer for our boys as they try for another Provincial title.

!!The Terrace Daily will be live streaming some of these games if you can't make it to the Terrace Sports Plex. Out of towners could advise their families and friends. Stay tuned and watch for the link to appear in the front page text banner.

Andy-your comment about the first time ever is a bit off. Perhaps we havent recently had the opportunity but TMH has hosted numerous Midget playdowns in Hockeyville, up to and including the Midget AAA Provincial championships-,

regardless-best of luck to you all and cheers to the Peewees and Bantams who both qualified this past weekend-No pressure Midgets!!! :-)
Good luck guys
