REPORTING · 2nd March 2010
Merv Ritchie
Tragedy befell Terrace and the Hockeyville team, in particular Carol Fielding and family, as her husband Hans Kurth passed away last evening.

We do not have many details except he was home taking pictures of the trophy, in which he had a very big part in winning, just prior to it being packed up and returned when he left our world.

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we share this news with you this morning. A picture of Hans is in the preceding story, behind Carol, where he was, always, during the Terrace is Hockeyville Bid. A long time Telus employee, he will be missed by many.

Terrace grieves today with Carol and his entire family.
Thank You Everyone

A warm thank you from Hans' children, Adam & Pam in Calgary and Daniel & Monica here in Terrace & a big heartfelt thank you from me.

Having someone you love taken from you so soon and so unexpectedly is a terrible blow to your family and your wishes and support help soothe the pain and ease the fears.

You have made a difference~

ride on Hans
Comment by Steve on 2nd March 2010
Very very sad news indeed-Hans and I have been trying to go for a bike ride for the past year but for whatever reason, one of us was always "too busy". Maybe there's a message there to us all-we should go for rides more often and put aside things that will wait.
My condolences to Carol and all the families.-, Hans will be missed.
