Zones 4 and 5, from the lower mainland, are regarded as being the top ranked in the BC Winter Games table tennis competition being held in Terrace at the Kitsumkalum Hall this week. Seen in the photo above are some of the members of the Zone 4 team. They are practising with Mr. Danny Lau (maroon shirt), the zone's certified level 3 coach, looking on.

Mr. Lau believes Zone 5 is the top team in the competition. Lau says that table tennis is a popular sport with the large Canadian Asian populations that live in these zones. Zone 4 includes the areas of Burnaby, Richmond, and Delta. Zone 5 covers Vancouver, North Vancouver, West Vancouver and Squamish.

Table Tennis gets underway this morning at the Kitsumkalum Hall. The competition begins at 9am.
