The Terrace Midget Rep hockey team is in Victoria for the Provincials this week. The team traveled down Friday and Saturday with lots of parental support.

Their first game of the playoffs was against 100 Mile house at 9:30 am Sunday. In the first period 100 Mile House opened the scoring with a defensive beak down by Terrace. The team started a little slow. Terrace got on the board with a lucky goal from Aaron Bergy from behind the net off of a defenders skate into the 100 Mile house net. The 1st period ended with a nice shot by Reid Turner finding the net making it 2-1 for Terrace.

In the 2nd, on a Terrace 5 on 3 power play, Corbin Legros shot went high glove side for the 3-1 lead. With 5 second left in a second penalty Cory Hubbard scored on the power play. With 9:00 left in the second Brandon Merritt was all alone for a break away and made no mistake for a short handed tally, 5-1 Terrace. Merritt is seeing limited ice time due to a previous injury. Reid Turner scored his second of the game on a rebound.

In the 3rd period Terrace continued to dominate when Corey Hubbard got his second goal with a one timer on a nice pass from Rajan Sangha. 100 Mile House scored another but the final was 7-2 Terrace. Goalie Devynn Ames recording the win.

After the initial break down the Terrace defence shut down 100 Mile House with the shots on goal being very one sided for the Terrace squad.

Monday is a big day for the Terrace team as they have two games, one at 10:30 am against Trail, and the next at 3:30 am against New Westminster.
