REPORTING · 25th March 2010
Today, March 25, 2010, Nisga'a Citizens all across BC will be voting for who they want to be their next President. Nelson Leeson, the previous, and much admired President, passed away on November 26 last year. A search on this site using the word 'Leeson' will bring up various stories on this statesman. The term Nisga'a will also bring up stories on the candidates.
"No matter who you vote for today, make sure you to go out and cast your ballot. Exercise your right as a Nisga'a Citizen and Vote!" wrote a Nisga'a resident this morning.
"All Nisga'a 18 years and up have this right. Please use it wisely. Take the time to consider the candidate you would like to see as the next President of the Nisga'a Nation."
In Terrace, voting takes place at the Best Western Terrace Inn Chinook Room.
