Two males have been charged in connection to the three search warrants executed in Terrace by RCMP Federal North District Drug Section in September 2009. At the time of the search warrant executions cocaine, marijuana, approximately $17,000 cash and several weapons were seized.
On March 28, 2010, 44-year-old Frederick Mowatt of Terrace was arrested at his home in connection to this investigation, after his home located in the 3800 block of Dobbie Street was searched on September 26, 2009. During the search warrant execution on Dobbie Street, officers found and seized 3.5 grams of cocaine, approximately $7000 cash, a sawed off riffle, a shot gun, two long rifles, drug packaging equipment and numerous pieces of stolen clothing from a break enter and theft at a commercial trucking company in Terrace on September 22, 2009.
Federick Mowatt of Terrace BC has been charged with:
1 count of conspiracy to traffic cocaine
1 count of possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
1 count of possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized
Also on March 28, 2010, 33-year-old Jason Snider was arrested for the second time since the initial search warrants were executed.
Jason Snider of Terrace BC has been charged with:
1 count of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking
Both men remained in custody until their court appearance on March 29, 2010 in Terrace Provincial Court.
At this time Mr. Mowatt and Mr. Snider continue to remain is custody until their next court appearance, scheduled for March 31, 2010 at 1:30pm.
