Keep thoughts to yourself

Certainly, the older man overreacted to whatever remark the young male made about his umbrella. But it proves again Mom's rule, Keep your thoughts to yourself. Especially in public.
When I was a teen, we knew enough to keep quiet until well out of earshot. Today kids say whatever pops into their head with no consideration for how it might impact their target ... and ultimately themselves.
