The Music and Friends Festival, which is to be held at the Terrace Airport this summer on July 16th and 17th, is in need of financial support. We just need to find 30 people or businesses to commit $1000 to help this event proceed.

Previously the Federal and Provincial Governments had monies available, but as we have all seen in so many ways, these sources of funds have all but dried up. Now it is up to us collectively to keep our events and entertainment thriving.

Like most other businesses and individuals we are struggling to find ways at cutting costs and still provide the great service however as an open challenge, the Terrace Daily will not just promote this unique and special event new to Terrace from Kitamaat Village, but will also commit to providing the first $1000 for the drive for 30.

Let’s see what we can do. There is little to no time. By Friday at 5:00pm we want to see our great community come together to push the festival forward.

The City of Terrace has already committed $2500 and; Astral Media, Progressive Ventures, Pacific Northern Gas, McAlpine & Company, RioTinto Alcan and Terrace Standard have all stepped up to the donation plate, now it is up to the rest of us.

So this is an open challenge by the Terrace Daily, 29 more commitments to go!
