CONTRIBUTION · 30th May 2010

If you were on of the lucky ones to be out at the speedway for this year's "Mothers Day" Season opener then you would know that "Stock Car Fights" is a pretty accurate phrase describing the action that took place that night.

The bumping and grinding started with Blair Loset driving the #181, tangling with Jeremy Beaudette in the #27 during the A bomber trophy dash. The #181 was out for the rest of the day and Grant Morten went on to win that one. Not too much longer Kat Finnie in the #1 car side swiped the #122 of Adam Morten. All in all there were a total of eight bombers that made it out and the racing action was very competative.

In the thunder class, five cars and a truck were out for first race day. The change in rules has improoved the grouping of the cars on the track. A new track record was also set. Dan Parnell drove the #4 car into the track record holder position and plans on fine tuning that number a little lower in the coming race days. In the B division Casey Vandenbroeke in the orange crush #13 took the checkered flags in all three races and in the A division Dan Parnell shared the victory lane with Kris Sweet in the #51 ford half ton in the Heat race. And finally in the main we put on a show again. Early in the race Brent Devost spun around and after the restart we were all racing to win again. At the end of the race Dan parnell took the win and Kris sweet realizing he wasn't going to take the win, slowed down. Not realizing that Brent's closing speed was very high, Brent's locked up the brakes and had no place to go but right into the right rear of kris's truck. Nobody got hurt and we kept the fans on the edge of their seats throughout the afternoon.

We would like to thank all the fans for coming out and our sponsors for making our race days happen. Also a big thanx to the few volunteers we had helping make things happen. If anyone want's to get involved or volunteer some of their time please contact us on the facebook at terrace speedway.

Hopefully we see you at the race track this saturday june 5th at 7 pm
