Last year, Skeena Watershed Conservation Coalition sent Northwest B.C. students 10,000 salmon templates to be coloured and decorated. Over 6,000 of these salmon were returned to us, beautifully decorated by young people ranging from pre-school kids to Grade 12 students and teachers. The salmon have been applied to 28 giant paper-maché salmon as part of a new regional art project, opening on June 18. Here are the details:
