The Executive Director of the Terrace and District Chamber of Commerce, Stacey Mann, has accepted a position with the Northwest Community College as the Student Services, Accessibility Services Coordinator.
She will be assuming these duties beginning June 28th stating, " I am really looking forward to it, I really want to just jump in and get going."
When asked about how this opportunity presented itself and when she began looking she stated, "I guess a door opened and I walked through it."
She stated NWCC is a major economic driver in the area and this was a great opportunity. Her role will be to assist those with handicaps and mobility issues navigate and manage at NWCC to attend courses so they can complete their degrees and trades training.
The Terrace and District Chamber of Commerce released the following statement this afternoon;
The Board of Directors of the Terrace & District Chamber of Commerce wishes to express sincere thanks to Stacey Mann for her work as Executive Director, and offers our warmest congratulations on her new appointment.
Ms. Mann's most recent accomplishment at the Chamber was the successful Trade Show 2010, which saw near-capacity crowds and exhibitors even in this difficult economy. Over her tenure at the organization, she oversaw many popular events including the annual Business Excellence Awards, numerous Chamber luncheons, and kept a busy office running smoothly.
