Getting ready for the show and shine
REPORTING · 20th June 2010

Watch Live HERE. Today, Fathersday, 2010, unique cars, trucks and motorcycles will be gathering at the Canadian Tire parking lot on the west end of Terrace for the annual Show and Shine. It is an opportunity for guys and girls to show off their motorized creation.

The Kinsmen will be holding the draw for their annual, (24th), Riverboat raffle. All the tickets were gone yesterday morning so they will not be attempting to sell the remaining tickets this year at the show and shine. If you waited to get yours there this year like you had in previous years, you are officially too late.

You will be able to get a ticket for the Rotary Clubs Annual Wild Duck Race, which will be held during the Riverboat Days celebrations on August 2nd. This ticket (1 of 6000) at $10, will buy you a number on a rubber duck. They will all be dropped into the Skeena River by helicopter and the first duck to cross the line set at Ferry Island wins a 2010 Chevy Cobalt. Second prize is return air to Vancouver for two via HawkAir and 3rd and 4th prizes, of $500 gift Cards, go to the 3rd and 4th quickest swimming ducks.

The Kinsmen raffle for the 2010, 200hp,18 ft Custom Riverboat from Neids will be drawn at 2:00 pm. All 3500 tickets will be in the draw barrel.

It is another gorgeous day, with the Terrace Alps surrounding the landscape. Very few wispy clouds drifting over the shimmering snow capped peaks. A perfect day to bring the '28 Ford out of the garage and cruise one more time.
