Kermode Friendship Centre held their youth fundraiser on Tuesday, July 20th.
Supporters were able to choose how they wanted to give their money to the cause by either getting a car wash, buying dinner, getting something from the bake sale or by purchasing a piece of handmade jewellery.
The society is raising money for two youth groups to go to the Kamloopa Pow-wow, held in Kamloops. This Pow-wow is a gathering of first nations from across the entire province.
This trip is part of a health and wellness program and will focus on the physical aspect of healing.
"To embrace your culture is to embrace your health and wellness," said Bruce Robinson.
Robinson will be taking a approximately 25 youth, the first ever group to go to this event. They will be hosted by the Prince George Native Friendship Centre.
