REPORTING · 25th July 2010
Terrace Softball is alive and well this summer with 7 teams in the slow pitch league and 12 in the scrub league.
Last week saw a showdown between slow pitch league teams, Skeena Concrete and CK Advertising
There was tons of action that saw a whopping 33 runs batted in.
By the end of this slug fest, CK Advertsing took some revenge on their lost in their previous meeting with Skeena Concrete as they walked away on top with a score of 22-11.
The slow pitch league runs from May to August and plays approximately 30 to 40 games in a season.
Carl Goodall of CK Advertsing Solutions commented that he has played an additional 60+ tournament games already this season.
The league is open to anyone aged 16 and up. If you are under the age of 19 you must wear a helmet and get parental consent.
Anyone interested in signing up for next year can contact the league coordinator via Terrace Leisure Service at 615.3000

I don't know one kind of baseball from another but I do know those who play on the Copper Mountain School ballfield are to be congratulated for their tidiness.
I walk my dogs around the ballfield perimeter every evening and in three years or more of doing so, I have yet to find a scrap of litter left by the players.
If only the general population were this respectful of public property.
