REPORTING · 1st August 2010
Terrace Daily

Today's celebrity paintball match wasn't your average paintball event. RCMP offifers - 'Bullets' squared off against members of the Terrace Fire Department - 'Buckets' in 1 hour of intense competition.

For the those who aren't familiar with paintball or speed ball. Speedball is a much more intense and faster game. With electric guns the painballs shoot in as rapid of a succession as your fingers can touch the trigger. If you are good at it you can make your shots like those of a fully automatic gun (paint marker). These of course aren't automatic, as they are not allowed.

By the end of the hour long battle, the Firefighters came out on top. And to show what class these guys have, the firefighters gave their winnings ($200) to the RCMP to put towards Cops for Cancer Tour De North. The RCMP also put their money ($100 for competing) toward the same charity.

The event took place at Canadian Tire, where a paintball course was setup with protective netting around it for spectators safety.
The event was put on by Canadian Tire and Ideal Paintball. Additional support in helping the tournament makes it's 4th appearance as part of Riverboat days, was given by Terrace Return-It Centre, Pepsi, M&M Meats, and Exalt.
