The work that resulted from this workshop was recently put on display.
Below is a note from one of the organizersAfter 4 days of hard work (and lots of fun!), the girls had each completed 4 art & photography projects, the main one being a large canvas board with a photo transfer, paint, embellishments and poetry. Girls invited their family and friends to come to The Family Place on Thursday evening for an art gallery showing, complete with finger food and punch. They worked with Joan to arrange the pieces on the walls and on tables. In total, 44 people came to the showing, which lasted an hour. The girls seemed thrilled to show off their artwork and I think I can speak on behalf of everyone by saying that we were blown away by their talent and creativity!
