Nelson appeared in court in Prince Rupert on August 9, 2010 and was remanded to Prince George Correctional Centre until his next court date on August 30, 2010.
Prince Rupert Crown Counsel has laid fifty-four criminal code offences; seventeen counts of fraud, eighteen counts of uttering forged documents, seventeen counts of possess, use, traffic credit card data and two counts of failing to comply with conditions of a recognizance.
Prince Rupert RCMP is reminding businesses to always check security features and signatures on credit cards and ask for a second piece of identification. If credit card or gift cards do not swipe automatically ask the customer for another form of payment. Be wary of customers making large, frequent and indiscriminate purchases.
