Each year Dairy Queen's across the country donate $1 or more of total blizzard sales for one day to a local Children's Miracle Network Hospital to help sick and injured children.

Wednesday, August 12th staff where ready for a blizzard of a day as they anticipated the community coming out in huge numbers to support this cause. Last year the Terrace location raised $18,466.44

In helping to make it a success, Astral Media and Classic Rock CFNR join forces to promote this event. The tents were up and the radio staff were on location doing live cut-ins inviting people to come down and show their support for the fundraiser by buying a blizzard.

There were plenty of staff on hand to whip up the thousands of Blizzards being purchased by supporters.

The hot weather may have played a part this year as DQ smashed their last year's number by approximately $4800, by raising a whopping $23,268.61.

William DeHoog, Manager of the Terrace Dairy Queen, thanked the entire community for showing their support in making it another successful year for the fundraiser.
