REPORTING · 26th August 2010
The drizzle of rain this week did not hamper Diana Penner's pride when it came to showing off the new K'san Community Greenhouse, located at 2812 Hall st., on Wednesday August 25th.
She took us on a tour and explained how they recover plants that otherwise would have been thrown away and gave us tips on composting in our own backyards.
She welcomes all volunteers willing to help and in exchange they are encouraged to take home fresh fruit and vegetables for their families.
So thanks to all the sponsors and volunteers for this great community service, it was an enjoyable afternoon and now I am going to savor my fresh vegetable soup from MY community greenhouse.
Everyone's greenhouse, even you!
Diana in amongst the next crop.
Many citizens enjoying each others company.
Now that is a welcoming sign.

I had no clue this project was "Everyone Welcome". Good to know.
'Nicely written article that is short/concise/informative; while encouraging community volunteer efforts where one can eventually reap their volunteer effort benefits too!
‘Nice to know.
Thx for welcoming the ENTIRE community to take part - whether one is rich or poor...we're all on this same earth…at the same time. We can all make a difference...or choose not to. Isn't this project grande? It's another great step to pull together the gap between us all, as we grow together in unity.
