The races were on today at Lakelse Lake as dragon boat teams competed against each other during the 2010 Terrace Mix-up Regatta.
With tents, barbecues, and lawn chairs, spectators and competitors hung out along the beach of Furlong Bay for an action packed day of dragon boat racing.
It was fierce, it was fast, it was exciting, and for a few it was very cold and wet, as some of the competitors decided to jump into the water after their races were complete.
For those looking to have some friendly competitive fun next year, dragon boating may be the thing for you. They start training again next spring. If you are interested in joining or would like some more information, email lakelsedragons,,,gmail.
This event was sponsored by CFNR, Hawair and Lakelse Dragon Boat Society.
