On September 10th, the world came together to remember those who died by suicide. As part of this international event, residents of Terrace gathered at George Little Park.
The event started with introductions by speakers, Tom Mac Lean, Director of Instruction - Student Support Services, Carla Gillis, Coordinator of Special Education - Coast Mountain School District (CMSD), and Sue Springer, School Counsellor - CMSD
There were various art activities that engaged those who attended.
Below is a list of activities explained in a press release for the event.
Kite Building and Message activity - to help remember those who we lost and the connection we have with them forever.
Web of Love and Supports activity - to help us build stronger connections with each other, links to families, friends and the community.
There was also information available to for people to read and music, courtesy of Christine Clark.
The event was organized by: Coast Mountains School District, Kermode Friendship Society, Terrace Victims Services, Ksan Society, Northern Health, and Skeena Diversity Society.
