REPORTING · 4th October 2010
Significant earthquakes continue to rattle the Pacific Rim, the "Ring of Fire" and the West Coast of BC is not immune. Just before 11:00 pm last night, Sunday October 3, a quake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale let loose Southwest of Port Hardy. Nine hours later, at virtually the same spot, inbetween to recognized fault lines, another tremor of 4.8 was recorded.
The West Coast of BC, right up past this region, is overdue for a Quake scientists are predicting would be at least 8 and bigger, ripping a portion of the foreshore off into the ocean creating massive tidal waves.
It is always wise to be prepared.

A good indication of this is the rising cost of earthquake protection on your house insurance.
Be sure to have a survival kit packed and ready and easily accessible.
