Terrace RCMP
On October 2, 2010 at approximately 2:28 am the Terrace RCMP assisted Thornhill Fire Dept with a vehicle fire at 4110 Hwy 16 East. The vehicle was demolished by what is suspected as Arson at this time. Anyone with information regarding this crime is asked to contact the Terrace RCMP at 250-638-7400 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.

On October 3, 2010 the Terrace RCMP responded to two Break and Enter complaints both from the area of Larch Avenue. Overnight suspect(s) gained access into two homes where wallets and cash were taken. Police continue to investigate and are asking anyone with information to contact the Terrace RCMP.

Terrace RCMP arrested and charged a Terrace male for Careless Use of a Firearm after receiving a report of a male shooting off a rifle while running through his yard on October 3rd. Investigation determined that his actions were deemed unsafe. The rifle was seized and the male is set to appear in court at a later date.

Sometime overnight on October 2, 2010 unknown culprit(s) climbed on top of the roof to Save on Foods and turned off the air compressors for the store. As a result there was a lack of refrigeration to the coolers inside and damage was estimated to be greater that $5000. A similar occurrence was reported October 4, 2010 from Staples who advised that sometime between September 30 and October 1 unknown person(s) were on their roof and damaged the heating /ventilation system. Anyone with information regarding these crimes is asked to contact the Terrace RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
