Power remains off for thousands across the North - BC Hydro now estimates 3 pm Tuesday for most, except Rosswood, Tuesday 6pm and the Nass, Wednesday at 6pm

For many residents in this windstorm affected region, Thanksgiving dinner will not be anything like was planned. BC Hydro is still maintaining 6 pm tonight, Monday October 11 as the best estimate for the power to be returned to over a thousand of customers.

The entire region from just North of Dutch Valley on the Nisga'a Hwy 113 beginning at Freeman Road right through Rosswood and the Nass Valley including all the Nisga'a Villages and Nass Camp will be without power. This represents over a thousand homes.

The areas around Terrace which will remain in the black till 6 include; Old Remo and New Remo (about 15 customers), Jackpine Flats (220 customers), Brauns Island (7 customers), North Terrace - CranberryLane and Woodland Park region (12 homes) with other isolated North Terrace homes. On the Southside BC Hydro reports 5 customers without power in the Evergreen/Pear area at Graham Ave.

The entire Gitaus Usk area is also without power representing about close to 400 Thanksgiving dinner tables.

merv u should see the rosswood area i don't think they will have power till at least thursday or later. the amount of trees down, community grounds destroyed, many people with major changes to there property
