Over $1000.00 was raised in a recent Terrace Anti-Poverty fundraiser held at Thornhill Community Centre.
The fundraiser in essence was a murder mystery play. The play was centered around a murder at an auction of which scenes were acted out at various times of the night. During the intermissions, spectators were able to participate in solving the murder by asking the characters key question.
Prizes were given out to those best dressed and to the tables that asked the best questions in trying to solve the mystery.
There was also a silent auction as a well as a huge door prize of a trip to Vancouver.
As a result of the support from those who attended the event, Terrace Anti-Poverty Society will be able to hold their Children's Christmas Tree Campaign.
