A Lewis
Last weekend the Terrace Midget Rep hockey team rolled into Prince Rupert for a pair of games. Saturday afternoon was the first game with Dawson Kluss between the pipes. Terrace carried the play for the first half and opened the score with a goal by Joel Findlay from Will Westby at 5:08 in the first. Prince Rupert responded with two goals of their own. Terrace tied the game with 8 seconds left in the second by William Orrey assisted by Dawson Leblond and Calum Quinn. In the third period the game momentum went back and forth. Terrace got their third of the game from Kody Kellar, assisted by Colten Braid and Brandon Stella, Prince Rupert responded to tie the game with 5:00 left in the third. The game ended in a draw. Prince Rupert scored all their goals on the power play and both teams took 9 minor penalties each.

Sunday’s game went at noon and Terrace got out to a fast start with David Lewis scoring with a slap shot just inside the blue line. Rupert responded quickly with one of their own. Lewis scored again but the referee didn't see the puck go in the net so the score stayed tied. Dawson Leblond beat the Prince Rupert goal tender later in the first, but that goal was disallowed because of goal tender interference. Later in the first period Marc Schibli scored for Terrace on a break away and went top shelf, set up by Austin Braid. Prince Rupert again tied the game. The lone goal in the third period was the game winner. It was Schibli's second and was a nice wrist shot from the right side. A Prince Rupert player was ejected from the game for fighting. Terrace recorded the 3-2 win. Cole Broughton was in net for the win. Terrace holds a record in league play of 1-1-2.

The team has its first home games of the season this weekend on Saturday, Oct. 23 - 5:30 pm and Sunday, Oct. 24 - 11:15 am, against the same Prince Rupert team.
