NEWS RELEASE · 22nd October 2010
Only one dry day this week but the perfect time to build a lasagna garden. 14 people showed up at the Community Greenhouse on Hall Street to learn how to build a garden bed from compostable products. The workshop was put on to support Terrace Women's Resource Society in their 30th anniversary celebration events. Diana Penner taught participants how to take household waste product and layer it -hence the term lasagna- to produce a fertile growing bed for your later planting pleasure. Another such workshop will be held this fall if the weather permits, and another this spring .
