REPORTING · 14th December 2010
Merv Ritchie
Update 6:15 am Wednesday - Information in the following report is not accurate. The correct details are contained in the above RCMP news release.

Update 9:45 pm - It appears, from information 'Not from the RCMP', the incident requiring the lock down of the area is over and the RCMP have the suspect in custody (note: this was incorrect information). We will provide a full copy of a news release from the RCMP as soon as it is made available. - Late night reports indicate this was not an alleged robbery attempt. There is nothing official from any source.

Update - unconfirmed reports state a firearm was recovered on Kalum Street though it may be a replica.

The Terrace RCMP are currently in an intense search operation after another apparent armed robbery in Terrace on Kalum Street.

Details are very sketchy however almost every Terrace RCMP officer available in Terrace including the dog team and the Emergency Response Team ERT are involved.

An area of upper Thornhill has been blocked off and officers are now preventing traffic from entering the area blocking traffic from entering from Old Lakelse and Krumm Roads.

More details when they become available.

It's a beautiful day in this neighborhood,
A beautiful day for a neighbor,
Would you be mine?
Could you be mine?

It's a neighborly day in this beautywood,
A neighborly day for a beauty,
Would you be mine?
Could you be mine?

I have always wanted to have a neighbor just like you,
I've always wanted to live in a neighborhood with you.

So let's make the most of this beautiful day,
Since we're together, we might as well say,
Would you be mine?
Could you be mine?
Won't you be my neighbor?

Won't you please,
Won't you please,
Please won't you be my neighbor?
