Biathlon BC put on an Officials Training course at the Terrace Rod and Gun Club this past weekend. The goal of the course was to train the Terrace Rod & Gun Club and the Biathlon participants in the rules and procedures for Biathlon Competitions and how to act as officials for these events.

Nine people participated for a full week-end training course put on by Paul Collard, Vice-President of Biathlon BC. Mr Collard is an experienced Biathlon official who has worked at both International and World Cup events. Adding to his qualifications; he was the Chief Official for the Biathlon event at the 2010 Olympics.

Snow has finally covered the training grounds and participants are now training with skis on.

Members of the Terrace team plan to compete and/or volunteer as officials at a regional Biathlon Competition in Smithers on January 2, 2010.
