Police responded to a break and enter that occurred over night between December 19 and 20th. The suspect(s) forced entry to the Knox United Church at 4907 Lazelle Ave and stole two "Seanix" brand computers and approximately $20 cash. Minor damage was incurred as a result of the forced entry. The Terrace Forensic Identification Section attended and the file is currently under investigation. Nothing says "Merry Christmas" like breaking into a church.
Knife Fight Update
One male, Patrick RINSMA remains in police custody after the incident took place last week. RINSMA has been charged with Break and Enter and Aggravated Assault. The other two males were released on PTA's and as the information has not been sworn their names cannot be released by police at this time. Police are still interviewing witnesses and pursuing the investigation.
On December 10 at 0450 hours the RCMP attended Mills Memorial with respect to a victim suffering injuries as a result of "getting jumped" by two unknown suspects. The victim walking by the Ford dealership on Keith Ave at approximately 0400 hours when he passed two males. Both suspect males where described as tall. One had a slim build with glasses and the other was a medium build with a mustache. Both males were in their 30's and were wearing black toques. Once the males passed, the victim was struck from behind and hit the ground where he passed out. There is no indication that this was a robbery. Police are looking for witnesses in this matter.
