COMMENTARY · 6th February 2011
We have finally been able to compile a video of the Greyhound bus accident last Friday evening on Highway 16. This area of the highway, where ice builds up during the freeze and thaw cycles of the unique environment of this stretch of highway, used to be attended to by the government highways officials with a 12 gauge shotgun loaded with slugs.
Today it is left for people to die, taking their chances, like a game of Russian roulette.
The ice buildup, which falls onto the highway, was the discussion and debate of a Court case a decade ago where an individual died at this same location.
