NEWS RELEASE · 10th February 2011
MP Nathan Cullen
Skeena Bulkley Valley Member of Parliament Nathan Cullen expressed grave concerns yesterday regarding the new arrangements the Canadian Prime Minister, Steven Harper, is making behind closed doors with the United States Government.

“This is a massive breech of our privacy, this is a massive breech of our sovereignty.” He exclaimed after explaining some of the implications of the deal.

“This will allow the US access to all our records” adding, “US law allows the government to do a whole myriad of stuff with this.”

He claimed the Canadian government is caving into US pressure.

His concerns were heightened when explained how a Canadian doesn’t even have to go to the United States to have the Canadian Government provide all a Canadians personal information, health records, credit Card information and more to the USA. Simply boarding a plane to fly across Canada is enough. This is because during a flight across Canada the flight path may cross the US Canadian border while in flight. This is enough.

Cullen wants guarantees the records of Canadians are not being shared with the US government.
