At lunch yesterday, Bruno Bellanger from Gemma's joined Susan Broughton for lunch. Bellanger didn't just sit down for a huge bowl of homemade mushroom soup and a Denver sandwich (overflowing the sides of the bread), a $5.00 lunch, he also brought a cheque for $500 for the renovation project.

Claiming this is one one the best lunch deals in town, Bellanger is also looking at his own future and his retirement.
"This is an easy decision to make. [The Happy Gang Centre] is in a great location and provides a venue for those who might have lost their life partner to still find companionship and compassion."
Bill McRae came by at lunch as he was thinking about the size of the room and the distance between the north wall and the entrance to the dining area. After holding one end of the tape measure while Bill calculated the space, Bruno and Bill walked out together planning to return again today, Thursday February 10.
Today at between 1:30 and 2:30 pm, Bill McRae and the Royal Canadian Legion will be making a formal presentation of a cheque for $10,000 to be directed to the renovations and elevator project. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Following this presentation, which will put the total ever closer to the goal of $90,000, the Terrace 2010 BC Winter Games will be holding their Legacy Evening at 7:30 pm in the Arena Banquet Room.
They will be handing out over $63,000 of Legacy Grants to 26 Sport and Community Organizations. The Happy Gang Centre is one of the recipients.
The community is also invited to attend this celebratory event. It is truly the final event of the 2010 BC Winter Games.
