I moved to Terrace sometime ago and I can't believe that the city plows everyone's driveway full of snow, sometimes twice in one day!
In Prince George the City has a small secondary blade on the back of each plow. As they go down a street plowing, all they have to do is lower this smaller blade down as they get to your driveway, and then lift it when they have past.
No one in Prince George has to worry about being late for work or for seniors and people like myself, who's health isn't up to shoveling a wall of ice and snow out of the their driveways.
It's not rocket science; a few feet of hydraulic hose and ten feet of plow.
