NEWS RELEASE · 5th April 2011
As local sheep, robins and geese flock to the exposed earth to fill their bellies with nutritious growth we too have the chance to expand our communities’ ability to feed itself.
A group of locals has decided to promote local food production and needs your help to move this cause further. The Greater Terrace Food Association was formed this past February and is holding its first annual general meeting at the Happy Gang on Kalum St. on Tuesday April 20 at 7:00 p.m.
At the meeting you will be given a sense of where we have come from and where we would like to go. A brainstorming session will follow to get your ideas for food security growth.
A short video featuring many local producers and food advocates will showcase the potential of this region to build a food economy that will not only feed us but will employ and sustain us.
We invite you to come and check us out. All are welcome.
